Headlight upgrade?
My 84 GL1200 Standard has OEM highlight but thinking about upgrading bulb to new halogen or LED. Suggestions or thoughts?

Replacing with LED is good. Get the lights without the fan, find these draw a lot of power and can give you power issues, BTDT. Just replaced the headlight on my '85 LTD with the non-fan type and a lot of the power issues I was seeing went away.

Re: Headlight upgrade?
Having owned a standard I can attest that the light is weak and dismal. A halogen extra bright is nice but they don't seem to last long. The newest LED technology is great on the 1500and 1800. I remember reading that there was some thing extra needed to do a LED on a Valkyrie standard. Not sure if that's needed on your bike. I'll try to find that info or you could look here: http://www.valkyrieforum.com/bbs/index.php?board=5.0
