84 aspencade low fuel warning

Does the 84 aspencade have a low fuel warning signal ? It doesn't have a light in the dash.

Yes - the petcock valve. When the engine starts sputtering out due to no fuel switch the petcock to "reserve", you have about a gallon of fuel left.

Don't forget to switch it back when you fill up though. BTDT. (What, out of Gas? That WAS reserve!)

That's just it the petcock valve has two positions on and off it doesn't have a reserve position

Hm, got me there... Has to have some sort of indication!

On the '85 GL1200A, there is a red light on the right side of the dash and to the right of the fuel gauge that will say low fuel. Ran my bike down to were it turned on this past week. Filled the tank with 4.5 gallons about 3 miles later. The fuel gauge had about two bars still left.

That's just it the 84 has turn signal indicator oil pressure light and tail light light on right side it doesn't have a low fuel light
