New to goldwings have questions
Just bought a 19861200 aspencade. Clutch and brake no pressure. Opened up masters and nothing but dried up crudy. Will try and clean amd bleed non stop. Has spark and turns over good but throttle so sticky so im sure will need the carbs cleaned. Also inside air boxby fuses is what i think is a voltage reg . It has a connector that goes to another one and that goes to another one. Well that middle connector looks burnt. Do they sell orjust cut and splice wires. Thank u everyone.

Might could find a good used one on E-bay and not have to cut and splice.

Re: New to goldwings have questions
Welcome!
The burnt looking plug …. is it down beside the battery on your left as you face the battery? Does it have just three yellow wires to it? If all that is so, it's the stator plug. Many have cut that connector out and spliced and soldered the pairs of wires together. I bought a new Honda plug at dealership and where the terminals crimp the wires, I soldered there, but just packed the plug with dielectric compound and no more issues.
You might also take a look at the plug on top of the starter solenoid to the right of the battery as you face it. The current to the bike comes back to that plug from reg/rect unit in the two red with white tracer wires, goes into solenoid through the plug, then back out same plug to other places to be used. You can jump it, parallel to the plug, as per a 1980's Honda upgrade plug or just add the jumper per diagram. There is a third item, called a charging mod that gives a battery voltage signal more accurate straight to the reg/rect unit.

I appreciate the help. The bike turns over and has spsrk , wants to start but had crazy old gas in tank and throttle is so gummed up , im gunna have to break out the carbs and clean etc. No pressure at clutch or brake handles. Ill att pic of where pigtail is burnt but seems to function ok for nkw until i do carbs and get it running then ill work in rest.

Re: New to goldwings have questions
In that picture, B is the regulator / rectifier. There is a plug there too. I bypassed that plug for just the three yellow wires (leaving other wires alone) with three splices to longer 12 gage yellow wires that I ran down to my new stator plug near battery. I recall the three yellow wires on the regulator / rectifier were a thin stranded steel, so I slipped shrink wrap down away from where was gonna solder, then some short pieces of brass tubing, then wrapped the steel to copper wires good, slipped tubing up onto the wraps & crimped good, then soldered them, then shrink wrap was slid into position & heated. After insulated well, I added several rounds of tape, then spiral wrapped the three yellow wires to lower plug.
I figured if I ever needed to replace the regulator / rectifier, I could do the same with replacement, but I never needed to.

Yours looks like mine
Presume you're going to drain the gas tank and flush it out?

Gas tank all flushed out , not rusty. Fresh gas in twice and emptied through petcock. Need to change fuel filter and get sometime to take off fairings etc and start the procedure to take the carbs out
