head gasket problem. two times on water jacket side. I use dextron silicate free anti-freeze (orange). 60 anti-freeze/ 40 distilled water.would this cause deterioration of my head gaskets? has anyone had problems with this anti-freeze,thanks

That is a GM anti freeze and the GM people are having lots of problem with that junk. Why not just buy some good MC any freeze. BMW motorcycle antifreeze is real good I used it for 50,000 miles on one bike and 20,000 on another. Of course there are plenty of others. Read up on the Dexton problems people are having. They mention gaskets. :o

Good 'ol green Prestone full-strength (available anywhere) is silicate-free so OK for bikes. I wouldn't even use that Dex-cool stuff in a Pontiac....
