engine noise
Can improperly shimmed hydraulic valve adjusters be the cause of engine noise at higher (2700 - 3000+) Rpms)?

Re: engine noise
Hydraulic valve lash adjusters, by definition, do not have shims. The reason for shims is to adjust for valve lash manually. Hydraulic adjusters use oil pressure to do the same thing.
