This is my first post on the forum. But the clutch Master cylinder on my 87 1200 aspencade has given up the ghost. It will not build any pressure. Was hoping to ask if rebuilding it a major pain? Or is it worth doing?
Or would I be better off to just replace it? I have found rebuild kits on ebay and not many used clutch Master cylinders. Any input would be appreciated!

They’re not especially hard to rebuild. Take it apart and see if the bore is in good shape. If it is order a kit.

Re: Clutch Master cylinder /replace or rebuild
I found a very nice used clutch master cylinder on Ebay for $40 and put a K&L rebuild kit in it. K&L claims to use the same sources for the parts as Honda. The kit was about $40 so $80 total and it's good as new.
