Replacing rear brake pads on a GL 1200

The GL 1100 Forum contains a good illustrated step-by-step DIY article on replacing the rear brake pads. Can I safely follow that same procedure on an '86 GL 1200 Interstate?

The procedure is pretty much the same on all bikes, actually.

Thanks; I suspected as much but didn't want to dive in without knowing if there might be something arcane lurking there. Am having some trouble finding the factory pad set; may have to settle for aftermarket.
