Lights Out
Hello. I am new here and need some help. I just bought a 1987 GL1200A Aspencade. The bike starts and runs great. The problem is that the headlight, turn signals and brake lights do not work. The radio and dashboard work fine and the rear lights come on. I don’t know where to start checking or look for. Please help!

Re: Lights Out
I have checked all my fuses and ground points. I have found that the hazard lights work after cleaning the turn signal switch. Still no headlight, turn signals or brake lights.

Re: Lights Out
Bulbs replaced or swapped with known good ones? If so you'll have to follow the circuit to find the disconnect (ie what's not working)

Riding anything is a good day!

Thanks. Sounds like I have some wire tracing to do. Would any one know where the ground is located for the lights on this bike. I have yet to find it. Thanks again for all your help.

Re: Lights Out
Ground is ground, it's all the same. Most grounds on the bike are represented with a solid green wire, but in a pinch, you can use any exposed frame member.Fields1973 wrote: ↑Tue Apr 28, 2020 12:04 pm Thanks. I'm not sure if it would be easier for you to take out the headlight assembly and get at the wire's or not they might be disconnected . just a thought
