auto level air suspension

Hi I have a reoccurring issue with my 1200 Ltd that being more often than not when you attempt to check the air pressures front or rear a reading of EEE shows up occasionally when you check it will show the current pressures. I am at a loss as to where to look for the cause of this problem. could it be one of the handle bar mounted switches or is it something else. I have checked the compressor it works have looked for a wiring guide to the suspension but have drew a blank as mentioned this is a intermittent problem however lately it has been more prominent in displaying the EEE in both front and rear monitors any help and or advise would be greatly appreciated
