Rear armrest replacement covers

Post by Commander »

Hi folks, new user here, thanks for having me. I have a 1984 Aspencade, and the passenger seat armrests are worn out, and I want to re-cover them. The seat, backrest and armrests are all chocolate brown. Does anyone know where to get replacement covers just for the armrests? I got the replacement seat and backrest covers, but I cannot find the armrest covers. Thanks in advance!

I'm not sure but, I think the rear armrests are aftermarket add on accessories. You might find a local upholsterer that could match the fabric and recover them 'on the side' when they are a little slow on business, for a small price. I had a local one here that would help out with things like that.

Plus one on the local auto upholstery shop. However, another option might be one of the ebay or etsy sellers that make replacement motorcycle seat covers. I bought one, and the seller had no problem making some slight changes for me. (Two tone) I bet if you sent the old covers for a pattern, they would make you a new set. I got replacement leather armrest covers for my Aeron chair on ebay, so there is another person to contact that does that kind of work.
And lastly there is this option. Looked a lot better than I expected from the title.

Thank you kindly for the response! I actually don't have the aftermarket folding armrest extensions, I am just looking for chocolate brown covers for the little stock armrests that are attached to the rear trunk lid along with the rear backrest. They have a zippered pocket under them, and those pockets themselves are fine on mine, I just need to re-cover the little pads on top.

I would still look into the other options, but there is this.

That's the color alright, and those would work... if I won the lottery, that is, lol, a little steep for the whole units! I wonder if anyone makes the replacement covers.

I've seen nice looking used ones on Ebay, the ones on my '85 were still like new when I sold the bike in '19, but it sat in a warm basement when not riding. Leaving them sit out is a killer.
