alternator conversion on 1984 1200

Im having problems lining up the radiator hose for the bottom housing.. can anyone tell me the part number and where I can order a spacer for the housing to bring the hose out about an inch or inch and a half.

If you have access to a lathe you can make a part out of a piece of aluminium like i had done for mine. You can see the part here;viewtopic.php?f=5&t=54009&p=321651#p321651 about 20 posts down.

Simple to make, using the cover as a measuring gauge you only have to drill 3 holes in the aluminium rod and cut an o ring slot, then take off some of the side.

Easy!

If you have time i can ask the shop that made mine how much they want to make yours. It is simple as it uses the same oring as stock (uses two) you can see that in the pictures and lines up real well! i would have had a bit more removed from the side so the water can be drained using the drain bolt.
