cooling fan always on ?

Post by galwegan »

my bike ( im the 3rd owner ) 84 1200 aspy .. previous owner wired the fan to run when the ignition is on ..full time
will this hurt the fan ? burn it / wear it out ?
will this hurt anything else ?

his reasoning was the 110 degree Arizona summers

If the fan control switch in the engine is working, no reason to have the fan wired to be on full-time. It will turn on by itself if needed.....
