Part Identification Please 85 LTD

Need some help identifying the function of this part.
37602-MG9-951 Ignition case
the one are my LTD are empty and one is smashed.
There is a harness going to them but nothing in the end of the wires.
Could it be some kind of light?? if so bulbs are missing

After a little more digging in the parts manual looks like this is simply a light for the dash or ignition switch.
Parts include two bulbs, two caps and one pigtail.

I thought it might be some sort of mercury switch for the self cancelling turn signals.
