1986 Interstate stumbling
After many years of not running the bike is running. In the process of doing this I had to swap the carbs. The 86 carbs were so bad I couldn't rebuild them. A friend had a set from an 85 Aspencade. Bike starts great and pulls hard with lots of power under acceleration. But at constant speed it seems to stumble and occasionally backfire. I have read about the service bulletin about changing the slow jets from 35 to 40. Am I on the right track? Or should I just clean the currently installed jets and try again. Any help or advice would be greatly appreciated.
