Seat Brackets

Post by Clara_Trefts »

I'm rebuilding a 1985 GL1200 and I'm missing some parts that are not available and that I can't find on ebay. I have access to the tools to build one part myself, but I need the dimensions of the part. I'm trying to build the seat stays (highlighted in the photo below). If anyone is able to collect the overall length (with bend), height from each side of the bend, width, and thickness, I would sincerely appreciate it. I'll only need the dimensions of one since I can mirror the part once it's made and fits on the bike.

Thank you!

Hope this helps. It is not a very complicated piece. Should be easy to fab up.

Thank you! Also, I had tried to order the left bracket locally but I was informed that it was not in service even though the system said otherwise. I'll definitely build the part sometime this week. Thanks again!

Sorry if my puictures don't give enough detail. I can take a couple more if you need them. Good luck.
