Engine trouble
As you all probably know I bought an 1200 aspencade..the engine and carbs are seized..does anyone know why these would seize and how do I rectify...thanks for all the great help...I enjoy looking at old posts for information and it's a great source for information

engine seized ? could be hydro-locked. remove spark plugs and try to crank engine. place rags over spark plugs holes before cranking because if there is liquid in there it can be pushed out with considerable force. if it doesn't crank, my next move would be to put a couple of tablespoons of tranny fluid or something like wd 40 into each cylinder and let it sit overnight, then try cranking the next day.
carbs seized ? spray all linkages and moving parts with penetrating oil and carefully try to work it free.
a little background might help ... how long has it been sitting ? inside or outdoors uncovered ? running when parked ?

20 years been parked up in America somewhere it has a Minnesota plate on it
