running issue
hello im eric im knew here and bought an 86 interstate last year also first motorcycle and i love it but it did come with a couple issues issue one is turn signals worked when theywanted before they just stopped all together but main issue is it will start right up but before i can go anywere it has to run for 30 min or it just dies and like clock work in the middle of warming up it will die backfire on restart then after about ten more min im good and i go through alot of gas im thinking start with plugs n wires any advice would help please

First issue, turn signals...check the turn signal relay and also check the switch on handlebar. May have to open the case up and clean the switch contacts well. Lube with electrical grease.
Second, running issue...if you are at full choke and have to warm it up for more than 5 minutes, your carbs slow circuit is probably clogged. The only good way to fix it is to remove carbs and rebuild them or have them professionally redone. If not at full choke (or enrichment), try full. If you can’t take off without keeping choke on, your slow circuit is definitely to blame.
Get a genuine Honda manual. That will be more help than you can imagine!
