Front forks are too wide- wheel will not mount on the forks.

I replaced the fork seals on my 1986 GL 1200. Went to re-assemble and the front forks are too wide so my wheel won't go back on. Any suggestions? Thanks GWD's

Welcome to the forum.

Sounds like you are doing this job yourself. Replacing the consumables (seals and bushings) should not result in this issue. Have you possibly not reinstalled all the axle spacers? I can't imagine anything in the triple trees that could cause this.

Hey Andy thanks for the welcome sir. I got it figured out- forks are bent ever so slightly. I loosened the bolts on the triple tree and steering head and turned the tubes until they made contact with the axle like they are supposed to. I’m glad I found that they are bent. I’m taking them back off and take them to the shop to have them straightened.
