1200 SEi hose connection question

Post by KennyRic »

After a stair replacement I’m reinstalling my engine in my new 1986 gl1200 SEi. I would like some confirmation on where the hose from the timing inspection cap goes, so far the only possibility iv found is a sensor or actuator going in into the top right rear of the engine case it has a steel braided wiring cover, I don’t know the purpose of this part so I question if this hose should be going from the top of the case to a sensor also threaded into the case. Does anyone know where this line needs to go?, or what that sensor thing does?

See my reply in your other thread. Timing mark cap to this oil pressure sensor is correct.
