Driving lights
Driving lights
Just noticed that my driving lights are not staying on but if I turn my blinkers on they stay on then sometimes go off then just by turning the blinkers back on they come back, I'm thinking it's the switch
But not sure but haven't really looked into it

Re: Driving lights
Interstate, Aspencade or SE? I know the GL1500 had optional cornering lights and yours may be set up that way. They work basically as you describe and were not full time driving lights. The stock bulbs are too hot for full time use. If that's what you have, you can jumper out a relay to keep them on full time but only if you use a lower amperage bulb. LED is great for this.

Re: Driving lights
Can you post a picture of your 'driving' lights. I don't think that is factory.....

Riding anything is a good day!

Re: Driving lights
Maybe I'm calling it the wrong thing , they are my blinkers ,they are solid lights while not used as blinkers
And obviously, blink while turning then go back solid

Re: Driving lights
They are my blinkers(front) when I turn on ignition, head lite comes on and yellow blinker lights come one solid,I noticed one morning that only the head light was in, so I drove a bit then pushed the button for my blinkers to turn, then blinker came on, cancelled and stayed on solid so all lights on the fairing were lit, then during the same ride I noticed just
The headlight on again I pushed the blocker button, cancelled it and they(the blinkers) stayed on solid, and then when turning they blinked and cancelled
and stayed on solid does that make better sense bike is all stock

Re: Driving lights
Gotcha. Thanks.
So these are like the front "parking lights" on a car. They are dual filament, normal and bright. Do I understand that the turn signals in the rear are on all the time (amber)?
Remove all bulbs and clean the connections. Maybe new bulbs while you are there. Next would be tear into the turn signal switch and clean all those contacts. And of course with many electrical issues, trace the ground wire and make sure it has a good clean connection to the frame.
