I have a 1987 gl1200 interstate. I recently bought the bike with a single carb pict 34 conversion already done. I intended to put the original carbs back in but after doing so and coming a crossed a bunch of leaks, I decided the hassle of taking the original carb in and out was not worth the trouble.
I reattached the intakes and pict 34 carb. I have two questions.
First, where does the hose that runs from the ignition unit run if using the pict 34?
Second, there is a nipple coming off cylinder 4s intake boot, I was wondering what connects to this? Or if it gets plugged?
Thank you in advance!

You've answered your own question. The vacuum advance hose from the ignition box goes to the nipple on the intake runner.

Re: Hoses single carb conversion
I had it plugged up to that at first, but then when I started the big it ran very Smokey. I was hoping maybe the hosing was placed wrong since it wasn’t smoking previously. Well, I already have two new head gaskets, so I guess those are my next step. Thank you!
