Gl1200 1984. Interstate lifters

Hi does anyone know what way up the hydraulic lifters go in,is it small end first,as 2 of mine seem to be other way round

Lifters are small end up. The intake lifters are on the bottom and have a cap that sits on the small end and against the rocker arm. If you did not see a small cap on the intake lifter(s) check the lifter hole. Detailed in the service manual.

I see 2x of those caps,but not on other 2,these were put in other way round,I thought all go small end first,how do the others attach then as you only have 1/2 to seat on.

Caps are only used on the intake lifters.
