Greetings Fellow Wingers,
I am brand new to the Goldwing, having trolled for years a cost effective GL1200A landed in my lap and I grabbed it. Here is my gremlin issue.
The Radio Powers on and works , however I have no other electrical function. No horn, lights, or any other electrical operation. I jump the terminals at the solenoid next to the battery and it cranks the engine. I found the molex conector under the left section of the "tank" kinda melted on some of the pins. Remove the pins from the connector and connected them directly color match to color match. Still no ignition. BTW are any of the fellow goldwingers in the Washington area? A linkup would be cool.
Thanks for weighing in
Cheers

What year? They changed a lot of stuff from '84 to '87.
There is also an ignition plug on the right side of the bike. Check that.

Could be the ignition switch. Sounds like the "accessory" stuff (radio) is working but the "On" stuff (lights, ignition etc) are not.
A local inventor has figured a way to turn a sausage grinder backward to manufacture pigs.

Thanks for the suggestion will probe around with my test light and see. BTW do you know the problematic harness connector that seems to always kill the power to the bike? Where is this harness connector located?
