Engine Oil banjo bolts
I have an 86 1200 Aspencade that I am fixing up. I removed the oil line on top of the motor that contains 3 banjo bolts. There are 2 bolts that are the same size, but I didn't realize they have slightly different size holes. One is also a darker color. If facing the motor from the timing belt side,I think the banjo bolt with the smaller hole (the darker colored one) goes on the right side furthest away from the timing cover, and the banjo bolt with the bigger hole (also the lighter in color) goes on the right side closest to the timing belt cover. The long banjo bolt is easy, that can only go in one location. The left side. Thanks

I'm not sure what bolts you are referring to, however, looking at the fiche should answer your questions as they list the sizes of the bolts and show the locations. Any on-line Honda parts dealer will have the fiche for your perusal.

Under the "Cylinder Block" section, it's number 26 and 28. There is no detailed picture in the micro fich. Thanks.

While not definitive, there is this photo of one of those part numbers.

Are there any differences in the bolt like a check valve inside it or a metering orifice?

looks like they provide oil to the heads. if so, i would think the one with the largest "hole" (orifice) goes to the number 27 location, which would pass fresh oil to the Y which would have the smaller hole screws as restrictors .
maybe
sorta, kinda.

Sorry, I've looked in the Honda Service Manual and couldn't find a reference to those lines. On my bike all I can see are the 2 bolts holding the (crossover?) tube. They look to be the same from the outside, of course.
If the third hole is a different size shouldn't it be obvious which bolt goes into it? And I was wondering about the different color, if maybe it's not an OEM part.
