Hello, my old rectifier is toast on my 1985 GL1200 LTD, I did all the stator tests listed in my clymer manual, and it passes with flying colors. My old unit puts out 15.5 v at around 3500 rpm, so that's no good! I was wondering if anyone has used the Mosfet controlled rectifier by ricks, the hot shot model. I listed the link below. The unit looks like it may be too tall and narrow to fit in the OEM location, any help would be appreciated!
Thanks,
OEMrider

I went ahead and bought the hot shot rectifier from Ricks, and it fits in the OEM spot with no issues. It's charging around 13.3V, so enough to keep everything going hopefully. I'll post back here with anything I find while driving it more

Is the 13.3 VDC on the dash gauge or with a multimeter at the battery?
