Okay, this is driving me nuts.
I have an 84 Aspy that I got for next to nothing knowing it needs some work. The engine will only crank with the key in the ACC position, not in the ON position. Nothing else works in the ACC position but most of the dash works in the ON position.
I’ve done all of the continuity tests I can find and everything, including the ignition switch, passes. I even tore apart the ignition switch and it looks brand new inside.
At the fuse box, I was getting continuity between light green/black and green and blue/orange. I disconnected everything at the fairing and that continuity went away, but the starting issue persists.
I replaced the starter relay, checked all fuses…I’m about to pull the wiring harness out and tear it all apart, really hoping I don’t have to.
Please tell me it’s a simple fix and I am dumb!
