after a long research...i understand i cannot find how to light up again my radio, all bulbs were old and do not work anymore.
as far as is my understanding, there are 3 bulbs and another 2 mini bulbs connected to a wire with a connector.
the point is: as bulbs can i use these? http://cyclemax.com/inc/sdetail/gl18.../158741/105985
they are from the 1800 radio bulbs and someone told me that i can use those... but i cannot understand why if they would work fine, why nobody says it?? even cyclemax do not know if those are fine for the 1500.

I seem to recall that somebody here tried using those GL1800 bulbs on the GL1500 radio, and they did not fit.

You can see the bulbs (including the miniature bulbs) here:

Have a read through How to change your radio lights to LEDs - that way you will never have to deal with burned out bulbs again.

Someone on another forum said they had talked to the guys at Sierra Electronics and was told the 1800 bulbs would work ok in the 1500. I can't say whether that is a fact or not but a call to Sierra should confirm on deny that. They work on a lot of Goldwing radios so they should know.

It takes a lot of fiddling but I was able to use these mini lamps...I got a couple dozen for another project..there Digikey T1 lamps..CM7219-ND..
The leads are a inch long and the lamp (12 volt) is close to the same size as the original...
They do not have the color boot on them...that's the fiddling part...trying to get the old ones off the dead lamp without tearing them and gluing them on the new lamp....
It would have been faster and more effective to convert to LED's.
