Post by bigron57 »

Just noticed the other day my headlight stopped working , everything else works, do you think it's just a fuse and where is it at ?

Could be a fuse or a relay. Or maybe you had 1 bulb out and didn't notice it and now the other 1 went out. The fuse box is under the side cover.

Check your starter button. When you push it in to engage the starter it breaks the circuit to the headlight. If the button doesn't fully return then no headlight & time to clean the start switch - see How to article.

I will be no help with this, sorry, BUTmaybe I can help you help others help you. . . . Are just the low beams out or low and high beams ? This will help other determin if it is bad bulbs, bad low beam circuit, orbad head light circuit in general.

In most case if it is both high or both low going out it is a relay. There are 2 relays, one for high and one for low beams.

THANK YOU!! That’s exactly what my problem was!! Flicked the starter button a bunch of times, tried it again, and my headlights came back. I could have tried a dozen things without finding the problem, but you solved it for me in just a few seconds!!!
