display screen going out
1994 Aspencade and my information display is slowly going out. I'm certain I know the answer but is it in need of replacement or is there another fix?

Re: display screen going out
If you replace the unit, keep me in mind.
I may be in need of a whole dash cluster.Mine went under 4' of water.I'm gonna try to restore the bike and I'm sure my insturment cluster is shot.
I did find on eBay starting at $350 or so and up.Not many tho.

I'm afraid there's no cure for the "Creeping Crescent of Doom", except replacement. Apparently, no one's ever come up with an aftermarket replacement for just the LCD (I've read that it's a very difficult thing to do, apparently).

Re: display screen going out
Aside from reading the shock pressure, would be nice if someone marketed a replacement screen with a few more features.
ie. air temperature, compass, etc.

Re: display screen going out
Wonder if that would fix my clock problem, display is working but sometimes the minute numbers change four minutes every minute and then the next time will be be working fine again and keeping right time
OK after watching the video I seen it was only replacing display and I will just have to ignore the clock when it isn't working right, but then who is watching a clock while riding anyway

No. You have dirty contact pins in the connectors to your dash panel.HandymanHerb wrote: ↑Thu Sep 17, 2020 12:44 pm Wonder if that would fix my clock problem, display is working but sometimes the minute numbers change four minutes every minute and then the next time will be be working fine again and keeping right time

Re: display screen going out
Have to take it apart and check, since it doesn't do it all the time, I was figuring that but wanted to ask first, be nice it there was an easy way to get to the connector but then if I was rich instead of being so good looking, it would be someone elses problem lol

It stays inside and hasn't been rode far in the rain, I got caught in a downpour last week but was able to fine cover till the worse was over, that didn't change anything though and it was doing it the last few months, just been to hot to ride much in FLA unless at night

Re: display screen going out
Condensation can cause moisture to form in humid weather. There are some older threads on this forum that address the issue.
