89 GO1500 drive shaft stuck in the u-joint

Post by nayron » Fri Jan 20, 2017 5:11 pm

89 GL1500 converted to a trike, same swing arm.
Drive shaft is stuck in the u-joint that goes to the tranny
Have heated the end of the u-joint where the shaft is stuck almost red hot, still won't come out.
HELP

Sounds like insufficient lube or torn boot allowed moisture to seize joint. Bite the bullet and remove the swing arm before more damage is done.
