Max air pressure on rear supension?

Post by DarrellFields » Sun Dec 03, 2017 3:42 am

Im just kinda throwing this out there but whats the Max air pressure under load i should have on an 89 Gl 1500? I noticed yesterday during a parade run here in Gloucester Va that with my passenger on my air pressure was around 117psi. Im afraid of blowing out the bladders and figured somebody in here would be Far more versed on the older 1500's than i am. I have only had her for about 6 months now and I'm still learning as i go. Thanks in advance for your help and advice and God Bless

When all else fails.. Weld it

It looks like the setting is 0-57psi, unloaded, on the center stand. There is no spec for a loaded pressure.

I have noticed that with 57lbs in shock (centerstand) The pressure is around 90lbs 2 up. That's around a 340lb load.
