petcock help!!

Post by desbozalado » Sat Dec 30, 2017 11:44 am

good afternoon I've been seeing that my bike does not bring the petcok piece.
I already ordered it on ebay.com.
to that piece I made the fault of the exessive gasoline expense.
someone who does not bring it and tell me how long your full tank lasts?
I've seen that they put an electric pump, what do they do with the vacuum hose? Is it covered?
Greetings from Hermosillo Sonora Mexico

I will try to answer your questions as far as I could understand.

Petcock is a vacuum operated valve, no electrical connection.

Fuel pump is in the fuel tank and electrically operated.

You should have 35-45 MPG or 5-7Lt/100km normally. With one full tank you should have 300-350 kilometers without using the reserve 3.6lt fuel.

Petcock stops the fuel flow into the carburetor when the engine is not running.

You should have 180-220 miles normally, when you keep the engine at or below 3000 rpm.
