1994 Honda Goldwing Intercom, how to use

Post by tcryder » Tue Feb 06, 2018 4:14 pm

I have a 94 GL1500A, I would like to know how to use the intercom, cb radio, it didn't come with the cables to connect to port. I would like to know what I need to purchase and how would it cost. Do the radio speakers work with the intercom? Thank you. tcryder

No intercom function thru speakers.

You will need two helmet mounted headsets and cables. There should be a connector near the left front dash glovebox and another for the passenger. Once you're all hooked up, turn on the radio, keep volume low for now. Turn IC VOL up to the mid-point and make adjustments from there.

And the rear.

Also the intercom will work whether the radio is on or not. Just need the intercom knob turned on and up a little.

It is an aftermarket item. You do have to remove the snaps from the pocket and some minor cutting of the pocket is required for the tabs to fit. Mine came with a simple twist latch but you can find key lock kits to fit.
Below is one eBay search result.

Very good Fiberthree, I think what is more useful than the original cover. I'll buy this.
Thanks
