Ready For the Darkside, might even do the double

Post by iamthebigdogdad » Sun Mar 04, 2018 9:13 am

So Its time, to go to the Darkside. I have read a lot, and I'am ready, but can't find a definite size.
I have a 1996 GL1500, and want a run flat.
So lets keep this simple, if you are that guy who has switched and loves it, let me know which tire and size you recommend.

that is going to be hard to do.

there is not enough width available to put a RF tire on the 1500's rear wheel.

Those tires tend to be a bit thicker in the side walls, than a regular tire.

I don't think there are any run flats that fit the 1500 any more
if you look in my sig you can see what I run, I am running double dark
I have been pretty happy with this set up, however a lot of people like the taxi tire better for 2 wheels as it's a tad taller.
I prefer to lower profile due to the sidecar
the Pilot is far better than the batlax as for a front dark side tire, it's a touch wider and doesn't cup as bad
