Oil change on forks, 3 weeks later seals starts leaking fix

Post by curtm » Tue Sep 04, 2018 6:17 pm

Well, had a new topic a month ago about changing the fork oil, building a compressor, installing schrader valves etc, well last week went to shop and there is a little puddle of oil under the right fork, Thought to my self ?!@? should have done the seals while i had it a part, well did some reading and searching for a template for one of those mysterious fork seal cleaners, Like that would work(sounds to easy) We like it the hard way
Anyways found a template, Cut it out of an old plastic coke bottle and giver a try
Holy crap it actually worked, should have saw the sh?t that come out from around the seals, And it does'nt leak anymore after about 250 Km ride, still is not leaking
i am truly amazed
