Mufflers for a GL1500

Post by 2manywings »

I'm looking to replace the mufflers on my 2000 GL1500. My question is... Does anyone know if mufflers from a GL1800 will fit without much modification?

I don't know but I doubt it or there would be information on this site about how to do it lol.

I do know the stock mufflers are stupid expensive.

Mine look like crap but that's one part I'm not replacing until they are rotting off lol.

Most any year GL1500 Mufflers will work, 1998-2000 match yours. Some have adapted HD mufflers obtained from HD dealer after their customer replaced, it takes a short pipe with a bend as HD have straight inlets. There's even some youtube videos of such.

Another thought, check trike places as many kits come with something else. For example, I have a few sets given me after trikes built, some are full of rust … but some ae solid.
