Changing sub filter
Just like the tutorial, I could not pick up this filter...it literally disintegrated at my touch (second pic). The upside is that it had not disintegrated into the system. Newly oiled filter ready to install.

Same here. My filter turned to dust when I touched it trying to remove it from the housing. I'm sure mine was the original when I replaced it and the bike was about 16 years old at the time. That is the way a lot of folks on here have found that filter when they replaced it.

when I bought my '94SE about 2004, I checked that filter, and same as both of you, it crumbled when I touched it. and that was only 10 years old.
wonder if 115°F Arizona heat, and dry storage for 3 years helped it out that way?
