Air compressor not working/no readout

Post by 1anderlikj » Mon Oct 22, 2018 9:45 pm

If anyone can direct me to a thread on this, please do so. I get no readout/solenoid clicks from any of the compressor control switches in any of the ignition key positions. Where are the fuses? I can't remember if it was working before I did my timing belt, but maybe I unplugged the control panel. Anyway, I looked at the fuses below the passenger intercom hookup and didn't see anything. Are there more places to look? I'm not above disassembling a switch, but I want to eliminate the easier possibilities first.

According this diagram, courtesy of Erdeniz Umman, Fuse 6 or relay no 5 is broken. I would start with these
And the fuses are located on the left side of the bike behind the side panel and the left saddlebag. The relays are hard to get to, but are next to the fusebox

Sorry for asking, do you push the P.check and Increase buttons at the same time?

Also, the connector behind the air compressor switches might be disconnected.

Yes, this isn't my first Goldwing, so I know how to make the compressor work. Nothing comes up on the display and I don't hear any relay clicking, so I'm inclined to believe either the switch is unplugged/crusty, or a fuse is blown, maybe for the same crusty reason. I can swap out relays easily enough, since many of them are the same. Might get to it this weekend.
