Question;

Does it richen or lean mixture when you open pilot screw more? I thought it adjusts fuel but is it?

Yes the fuel mixture screw meters fuel just like every other carburetor ever made, out for more (richen) and in for less.

I was reading one topic where was said it adjusts air... I thought wtf, have I been thinking wrong all these years (blackout). And then searched simple explanation how gl1500 carbs works, could not find any clear written fact so I had to ask...

I was under the impression it was a air mixture screw adjusted the air fuel ratio. could be were I have had and worked on gl1000. they say you learn something new every day :)

The confusion may stem from the fact that within the idle fuel circuit a tiny amount of air is mixed in via an air bleed so there is a mixture of both that the needle of screw acts upon.
