Trunk adjustment

Post by Ed Brock »

Question, does the trunk on a 1998 1500SE adjust forwards or backwards. If how do you adjust it? Is there a "relocation kit" available?
Thanks Ed

They are a fixed location.
But you can make bars to bolt to the subframe and thread new location holes. I've read posts on other wing forums of others making a setback this way.
Here is how the subframe looks on the top where the trunk sets. There are 4 bolts holding the trunk to the frame. Get a 1"×36" 1/4" steel flat bar and cut to length to fit your desired setback up to 1 1/2" so there isn't strain on the wires or extend the loom..(or forward if that is what you want???)
