Excess oil build-up in the breather box

Post by Hwcarterjr »

Ok so after i got a new clutch put into my 99 gl1500ct im having oil blow into my air box via the breather box located behind the key. The bike is new to me and have not found out why the clutch went out in the frist place. New master was put in and the slave looked good but no smoking gun.

Any advice helps!

My theory so far: the clamps that are on the breather box hoses are not doing anything ( i can just slide most off by hand ) so new clamps all around are a for sure thing. But could the be my issue?

On the 1500 there are a couple of tubes with plugs down by the alternator that need draining on a regular basis. Have you done this?
