Again, I'm new to Goldwing's. I'm sure this has been asked before but I don't see any information on it.
What I'm trying to do is to hook up extra driving lights to my 1998 1500SE. I see that most people have a "bar" mounted under the headlight. I'm looking for that bar. black instead of chrome is best for me.
Does any one have the information I need?
Also how do you turn on the lower factory driving lights, the owners manual does not mention that item.
Thanks Ed

I don't know where you can get a black driving light bar. Most of them I have seen are chrome plated.
Your lower driving lights on the 98SE model is supposed to be on all the time I believe. I know my 2000 model has them on all the time. I'm not sure when they changed it from the turn signal light to on all the time but it was around 1997 I thought. Anyway, it could be that both lights are burned out or possibly a blown fuse. Is anything else not working?

For the lower driving lights, my understanding is earlier models these turn on with the turn signal.
Later models they are always on as stated above me.
Check bulbs, wires etc, if yours never come on.

Re: Auxilery Driving Lights
If you want to add some sunshine while driving at night so you can see and be seen follow the directions from the original link below. I followed the directions exactly and no longer have to worry. I did not connect them so that they are on with high beams because I only use them when necessary and there is no oncoming traffic to be blinded. As for the bar, you get get one scuff the chrome and add a coat of Por-15. It hardens to a gloss finish, is self leveling, and will not chip, crack or rust.
