J&M C.B Issue

Post by bluangel4x4 »

I have a 96 GL1500, It has the J&M CB with weather band installed on it. For the first few years of owning this machine, the J&M cb did work. After some time pass by, as i would be driving around, the radio would slowly get quiet to the point where i would have the volume up all the way up and i could hear anything. I thought the radio was bad so i did replace the radio with one that i know works. now, when i hook up the power wire to the J&M unit it it kills the radio, no sound at all. But if i remove the main power wire from the J&M unit, the radio works as it should. Any ideas? Yes i did replace the ground wire. Thank you in advance for any help.

Do you have it muted for cb use?

I did try the "Mute button" several times, no change.

Perhaps it would be a good idea to contact J&M and talk to them. I'm certain they can get it sorted out.
