Vacuum Hoses

Post by eluwak »

So looking for new hoses, and trying to figure out which to get. I like the idea of the color ones, but paint marks work good enough I think. Real question is what type are good to use? Rubber or silicone? Can I use 1/8”, 5/32”, 1/4”, etc. or does it have to be the 3.2,4.2,5.8 mm?

Best to use the metric hose. SAE sizes obviously if too loose won't seal or they'll fall off. You could probably use the "too small" size and get it on the fittings, but are asking for the ends to split out early....
