Hi all,
Went to go for a nice ride today. Bike hasn’t had a good run for a few weeks. Last run was 8000klm a month ago. Did not have one issue for the whole time on that ride.
This morning the old girl was travelling along fine, but 30klm in the revs started to drop of and you could feel her struggling. Felt like she was starving for fuel. Eventually she stalled.
At one point I clutched it, and the revs went up to where they should have been with the throttle almost full on.
After stopping on the freeway, she wouldn’t start again. After checking the fuel filter and other normal things I opened the fuel cap - there was a distinct lack of vacuum noise that I normally get. BUT after this and with a bit of choke she’s started, ran fro another 30klm and did the same. This happened twice more before I got home.
Any ideas. Seems like a vacuu. Use of some sort maybe, but not sure.
Thanks.

Re: 93 1500 stalling
Gas cap is supposed to vent either pressure or vacuum after it reaches a certain level. Yours may be plugged. Try another ride with the cap off, I bet she doesn't stall out.
That being the case, a good 24 hour soak in Seafoam should clean up the cap nicely.
