Hi folks,
If any GL1500 owner has had problems with their alternator drive gear or knows anything about them please read my "Bad Vibes" post in the GL1500 part of this forum.
It's looking like I need to take the engine out to check/repair/replace mine so any info would be welcome.
The burning question of the moment is:
With the bike in gear by putting a socket wrench on the centre nut I can still rotate the engine side alternator drive coupling in either direction. Should this be possible?
I don't think so but I'm happy to be persuaded otherwise.
