Broken radio wires

Post by Dentino3 »

I just bought a 93 GL1500 SEL and have a radio issue. The radio appears to be inoperative and when I inspected the unit and it’s wiring I found two wires had broken off of the C2 wiring plug going into the radio. I am sure I can remove the connectors from the plug and reattach them to the wires but I am not sure which of the slots each wire goes into. I have examined the very well done wire diagrams and reviewed the color codes and the plug numbers. Although the wires are numbered in the plug diagram, I cannot for the life of me figure out how it relates to the position in the plug. I’m attaching a photo of the broken wires and plug. Does anyone out there have a photo of this plug with intact wires?

I think I still have the schematic for the wiring. I will check and send it later today.
