Hello,
I'm adding a grounding block (it's actually circular), do I connect it to the ground post of the battery? The accessory fuse block I'm putting in connects to the positive post on the battery, so I figure the grounding block must connect to the negative battery post, Right. I just want to make sure.
Thank you
Frank

Re: Grounding block
as it seems it will have a lot of terminals on it,
I would put one wire to the battery negative, and a 2nd to a solid frame ground.
the 2nd wire will help the onboard frame ground to battery connection.
the wiring harness has a buried junction point where about 7 or more wires come together to a single green wire is is very small IMO... like 18 gauge....not near big enough.

I used a block like this for my grounding block:

Re: Grounding block
Actually, now that I'm looking at it, I see this one - I would be tempted to use this instead now if I were to re-do it:

Re: Grounding block
Scott,
I worked in the communications field all my life.
In our microwave buildings with the huge 2 volt wet cells,
all of our grounding blocks were similar to what you posted.
In fact, they were solid brass strips 19" long x 1/4" thick x 3" wide.
They bolted directly to the 19" relay racks that housed our equipment.
and we used #8 ga wires to ground individual pieces of equipment to those grounding bars....yes, we called them "bars", not blocks.
The main battery interconnect bus bars were not wires, they were actually brass straps.
Only the Positive and Negative terminals had wires to them, and they were #2 Ought cable to the power inverter.
a bit of humour/humor here.
Back in ~1974 I was doing some work above the main Bus Bar that fed this particular rack, and I dropped a pair of Needle Nose pliars that did not have insulated handles.
They disappeared in one very brilliant flash!

Re: Grounding block
Thank you, where do you attach it and where do you ground it.
Here's mine.
Thank you again
