Air hose?

Post by ActionMatthew »

Hello! I’m digging into my GL to rebuild rear brake master cylinder and found this. I don’t see where it connects/what it is for. This bike is new to me and this is my first time going through her. Any help appreciated!

It is the air outlet to inflate the tires. It should be kept inside the right saddle bag. You will need another hose like below to use it.
Check this video for how to or "how not to" use it. Actually you should turn the key into the P position and press the Outlet button.

This is the page in the owners manual for the "correct" how to.

You can also use it to add air to the suspension if your compressor fails. There should be a holder for it and be sure to put a cap on it. Mine came laying in the bottom of the bag and all the rubbing wore away the edge that the hose seals on. I ended up having to make a new one.
