leaking gas from carbs

Post by thomson29 » Sat Jun 08, 2019 12:53 pm

I wrestled with leaking carbs, installed rebuild kits, adjusted floats, NO SUCCESS. The problem turned out to be carb kits made in china. that were junk junk junk. USE HONDA OEM and you will save a lot of headaches. in the china kits the rubber and plastic parts are not gas proof. when the carb fills with gas everything swells up and starts leaking.

This is sad but true. Those Chinese parts are mostly worthless. I guess they didn't expect the carburetor parts to ever come in contact with gasoline. :o

Wow,
That's good to know. Never purchase a Chinese manufactured boat, it might dissolve when it hits water

Thank you
